The link relative ratio of sales increased slightly, which decreased slightly on year-on-year basis, and the accumulative increase of sales was still obvious. The link relative ratio has dropped both in gasoline engine market and diesel engine market to varying degrees, with the accumulative growth rate of sales falling back somehow; about the sales of each market segment, except for the declining link relative ratio of internal combustion engine for general purpose engine, others have all risen to varying degrees; about accumulative sales, except for the year-on-year decline of the sales of internal combustion engines for ships and general purpose engine, other sales have shown an increasing trend to different degrees.

Yuchai Leading the Development of Multi-cylinder Diesel Engine

After entering the era of “third national stage” in an all-round way, China’s agricultural machinery is now going through a period of in-depth development as the agricultural structural reform of supply side progresses. For single-cylinder diesel engine with agricultural machinery as its main matching area, technical upgrading and structural optimization are still being carried out synchronously. In November, 78,200 single-cylinder diesel engines were sold, its link relative ratio falling 25.84%, down by 27.76% on year-on-year basis; 1,071,300 single-cylinder diesel engines were sold accumulatively, down by 2.27% accumulatively on year-on-year basis. The top five enterprises in the standings are: Changchai, Intelligent Agriculture, Tri-ring, Sifang, and Golden Flying Fish. The sales of single-cylinder diesel engine products accounts for 87.88% of the industry sales, with agricultural machinery as its main matching area. In November 76,400 were sold, its link relative ratio falling 26.51%, down by 28.23% on year-on-year basis, and down by 2.81% accumulatively on year-on-year basis.

The market of multi-cylinder diesel engine has slightly increased compared with the previous month, and its accumulative year-on-year growth still remains relatively high. In November, a total of 369,300 were sold by multi-cylinder diesel engine enterprises, link relative ratio rising 3.33%, down by 1.41% on year-on-year basis, 4,002,900 sold accumulatively, up by 19.16% accumulatively on year-on-year basis. Sales by top ten enterprises including Weichai, Yuchai, Yunnei, Quanchai, and Xichai account for 71.14% of the total sales. Among enterprises of the highest sales, the year-on-year growth rate of Weichai, Yuchai, Yunnei, Fukang, Dongkang, and Xinchai is the highest, between 14%-60%. Among the numbers matching fields of multi-cylinder diesel engine, commercial vehicles account for the greatest ratio, as high as 64.11%; 241,500 were sold in November, its link relative ratio falling 2.30%, down by 10.24% on year-on-year basis, and 2,566,200 were sold accumulatively, up by 17.64% accumulatively on year-on-year basis. The highest sales are by Weichai, Yuchai, Foton, and JMC. In the passenger car market where multi-cylinder enterprises contend with each other, Yuchai has always maintained its leading position.

Substantial Growth in Link Relative Ratio of Gasoline Engine

In November, 747,300 were sold by small gasoline engine enterprises, link relative ratio rising 27.80%, down by 0.95% on year-on-year basis, and 7,897,300 were sold accumulatively, up by 7.10% accumulatively on year-on-year basis. The top five enterprises with the highest sales are Huasheng, Longxin, Runtong, Zhongjian, and Intelligent Agriculture. Among its main matching fields, 281,200 were sold for garden machinery, link relative ratio rising 38.47%, up by 3.08% on year-on-year basis, and 3,086,500 were sold accumulatively, up by 3.92% accumulatively on year-on-year basis; 182,500 were sold for agricultural machinery, link relative ratio rising 17.95%, down by 2.10% on year-on-year basis, and 1,985,300 were sold accumulatively, up by 24.71% accumulatively on year-on-year basis.

The link relative ratio of gasoline engine sales has grown substantially. In November 2,363,200 multi-cylinder gasoline engines were sold, link relative ratio rising 13.38%, up by 0.56% on year-on-year basis, and 20,789,000 were sold machinery, up by 3.91% accumulatively on year-on-year basis. The top ten enterprises of the highest sales including SGMW, FAW-VOLKSWAGEN, and VOLKSWAGEN Powertrain account for over half o the industry sales, as high as 52.28%. The growth rate of accumulative sales by SGMW, Dongfeng Nissan, Geely, SAIC-GM Wuhan, and Dongfeng Honda Automobile is more obvious, between 12%-93%. The most important matching field of multi-cylinder gasoline engines is passenger car, which accounts for 95.10%; 2,268,300 were old in November, link relative ratio rising 13.39%, up by 0.26% on year-on-year basis, and 19,770,300 were sold accumulatively, up by 4.19% accumulatively on year-on-year basis.

The overall trend of new energy internal combustion engine has been steady. With the continuous upgrading of environmental protection standards, repeated occurrence of the phrase “new energy” in government work report, constant introduction of preferential policies for new energy vehicles by the government, implementation of new energy-related infrastructure construction in full swing, heightening of public environmental awareness and increasing acceptance of new energy, the future of new energy internal combustion engine will be bright in 2017.

Data released by the General Administration of Customs shows: in November the growth of import an export has somehow recovered. In November the value of export in USD is 217.382 billion dollars, up by 12.3% on year-on-year basis, growth rate up by 5.4%. In November the value of import in USD is 177.158 billion dollars, up by 17.7% on year-on-year basis, growth rate slightly recovered by 0.5% compared with October. The link relative ratio of trade surplus of the month is expanded to 40.2 billion dollars (the surplus in October is 38.2 billion dollars), narrowing by about 2.9 billion dollars on year-on-year basis, while the growth rate of export to main trade partners is generally on the rise.

November 2017, the overall sales has increased significantly compared with the previous month, but slightly decreased on year-on-year basis, and the year-on-year growth of accumulative sales has fallen back to around 5%. With the continuous fermentation of the “One Belt One Road” policy and constant expansion of overseas market, the annual sales is estimated to be around 56 million.
