China’s hardware industry has encountered many difficulties during its course of development, e.g. lack of variety in technology, relatively low technical level, lack of advanced equipment, and talent shortage, all of which have restricted the development of hardware industry. Therefore, China has further standardized this industry and implemented industry-related preferential policies. There is a huge space for the development of China’s hardware industry.

According to expert, China’s hardware products can be divided into over 10,000 categories including machinery hardware, decorating hardware, daily hardware, building hardware, tool hardware, and household appliances; characteristic industries have been preliminarily formed, such as electric power tool, stainless steel product, copper and aluminum processing, burglar-proof door, weighing apparatus, and scooter.

As China further standardizes the industry and implements industry-related preferential policies, there will be a huge space for the development of China’s hardware product industry.

Rural areas have always been a huge potential consumer market, especially that the rapid economic development of recent years, reconstruction of household environment, and upgrading of township and village enterprises have put this market in need of hardware products in large quantity. About this, the editor believes that hardware going to the countryside can on the one hand contribute to urban and rural construction; on the other hand it can expand the domestic market demand for hardware products and convert the huge potential demand for consumption in rural areas into actual purchasing power while effectively promoting the comprehensive coverage of service networks of hardware enterprises and establishing brands for domestic enterprises—kill multiple birds with one stone.
